Simone Biles and Suni Lee both had an incredible performance on Thursday in all-around gymnastics at the Olympics, and they both made history. Biles became the first USA woman to win two gold medals in all-around gymnastics, and Suni Lee is the only other USA woman to medal twice in all-around gymnastics. Everyone is reacting to the news, including Team USA basketball star Stephen Curry.
The sports world is rightfully amazed by the incredible feat that the two gymnasts accomplished on Thursday, and one person in awe is Stephen Curry, who is also competing in the Olympics right now.
“To see that athleticism, the clutchness of Simone and Suni in that moment, knowing what they had to do and going out and doing it was absolutely incredible,” Curry said, according to a post from Tim Reynolds. “They are ridiculous to watch. To see that athleticism, it's insane.”
Both Simone Biles and Suni Lee have more than cemented themselves as Olympics legends.
Stephen Curry is also going for gold
Simone Biles is arguably the greatest Olympian of all-time, and she has yet another gold medal. Now, Stephen Curry would like to get a gold medal of his own with the Team USA basketball team. USA just had their second game on the Olympics on Wednesday, and Curry helped lead the team to their second victory.
Team USA is the overwhelming favorite to win gold in basketball, and so far, they have cruised to victories over Serbia and South Sudan. They beat Serbia 110-84, and they beat South Sudan 103-86. The next game that USA will play will take place on Saturday, and it will be against Puerto Rico.
Stephen Curry has a lot of work to do to catch Simone Biles, but he does seem to be in good shape to win a goal medal with the USA basketball team.
