In a now-deleted tweet, Rachel Nichols of ESPN reported that Stephen Jackson was giving his career another shot by accpeting an invite to the Golden State Warriors training camp.

However, according to CSN Bay Area, the Warriors have denied asking Jackson to training camp.

Jackson had posted a photo of himself on Instagram in an old Warriors uniform, writing, “Yep. It's on again” but has since deleted the photo.

The 38-year-old veteran has played 17 NBA season, though he hasn't played since the 2013-14 campaign for the Clippers. Jackson's last full season was in 2012-13, where he averaged 6.2 points per game for the Spurs.

Jackson was part of the “We Believe” Warriors who upset the reigning Western Conference champion Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs. He has worked for ESPN as an analyst since last suiting up in the NBA.

The Warriors recently sought to bring Jackson on as a coach, so it's possible there has been a miscommunication between the Bay Area franchise and Jackson on why exactly Golden State wants him at training camp, if they want him there at all.
