After ending his two-year tenure as an assistant coach for the Golden State Warriors under head coach Steve Kerr, former two-time Lakers champion Luke Walton decided to return to Tinseltown to take the reigns of his former team.
On Saturday night, Kerr and Walton will coach against each other for the first time when the Warriors visit Los Angeles in a preseason matchup. A few Golden State players won't be playing in the game, giving Kerr the perfect opportunity to throw a joking jab at his former protege.
Steve Kerr announces no Iguodala/West vs Lakers because "I want to give Luke (Walton) every opportunity to prepare for tomorrow's clash"

Although Walton told Baxter Holmes of ESPN he would not talk trash back to Kerr – though he admitted he might give Draymond Green some flack – the new Lakers head coach did dish out a short comeback.
“Well, you tell Steve that Lou Williams isn't playing either, so he can have his full opportunity, too.”
Expect a trick play or two from the Lakers against Walton's former team tonight as well.
