The first thing Steven Adams did after signing a four-year, $100 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder was buy a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
Adams told reporters he dropped his phone in the cold tub, and was unavailable during the time of his contract negotiations.
It was for that reason according to Adams, that made the process of getting the agreement done more difficult than it should've been.
It didn't work for like the past three days, as stuff was going on. My agent was trying to contact me and stuff, and I was like, ‘I can't, I'm sorry, I just don't have a phone.
Adams didn't seem too concerned with getting a replacement phone beforehand, and left the work to the guy he pays to make things happen, his agent.
