Suns add Mehmet Okur to improve and polish the skills of their young bigs
A former champion with the Detroit Pistons and an All-Star as a member of the Jazz back in 2007, the Turkish center played in a more fluid fashion than others of his size.
The 6-foot-11 Okur was one of the better shooting big men in his prime. In the 2008-2009 season, he shot the ball at a 44% clip from long distance. He averaged 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in his 10-year career.
He was a former teammate of Suns coach Earl Watson back in their Utah days.
