A such, the Phoenix Suns have opted to tap his services and act a player development coach this season, per team report.

The 6-foot-11 Okur was one of the better shooting big men in his prime. In the 2008-2009 season, he shot the ball at a 44% clip from long distance. He averaged 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in his 10-year career.

He was a former teammate of Suns coach Earl Watson back in their Utah days.
