Life after basketball is a journey – like literally for former NBA players and ex-Phoenix Suns Cedric Ceballos and Shawn Marion. Some years after deciding to step away from the NBA, Ceballos and Marion now find themselves in another form of competition, as they are now partnering with each other in an attempt to win the upcoming installment of the CBS reality game show, “The Amazing Race.”

The duo even got a shout-out from the NBA’s official Twitter page.

Ceballos last played in the NBA for the Miami Heat during the 2000-2001 season. Now 48, Ceballos was drafted by Phoenix 49th overall in the 1990 NBA Draft and spent the majority of his NBA career with the Suns, playing for six seasons in the desert. Ceballos is perhaps more known for winning the 1992 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Marion, on the other hand, came into the NBA in 1999, when Phoenix selected him ninth in the first round of that year’s draft. He played for a total of nine seasons for Phoenix, but it was with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 that he won his only NBA championship. Marion last suited up for the Cleveland Cavaliers back in the 2015-2016 season.

Ceballos and Marion may be retired from basketball, but there’s surely some competitive juice left flowing in their veins.
