Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns have a huge ace in their sleeve as they enter the 2021 NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Suns have fallen on an unlikely secret weapon by the name of Torrey Craig who, coincidentally, was part of the Bucks roster to start the 2020-2021 NBA season.

“Even though I played in Denver longer, I was still with Milwaukee for a short amount of time. So any advice or tips I can give on any of the scouting reports of the guys or the sets they run, I'm going to try to help out in any way I can,” Craig said via AZCentral.com.

Craig has a key member of this solid Suns squad who just finished an incredible post-season run to push themselves to the franchise's first NBA Finals appearance in almost three decades. The forward has given head coach Monty Williams huge minutes off the bench with his defensive presence and intensity to help slow down their opponents' offense. But, he actually started the season with the Bucks and played 18 games alongside Giannis Antetonounmpo and the rest of the newly-crowned Eastern Conference champs.

This rather odd situation makes him an even more valuable part of the Suns' line-up. Aside from the fact that Craig's unique position actually guarantees him a ring, his few month's worths of experience of being part of the Milwaukee camp just a few months ago could be a huge deal.

The 30-year-old has been quite the journeyman in his professional basketball stint. After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, the forward went down under to play for a few years in Australia's National Basketball League. In 2017, Craig was finally called up in the NBA and spent three seasons with the Denver Nuggets before finding his way to Milwaukee at the start of this season before finally being traded to the Suns in March, 2021.

Now, Torrey Craig is just four wins away from lifting his first-ever NBA trophy.
