Chris Paul went down and was seen in a lot of pain after a collision in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Phoenix Suns point guard fell down in a heap and was grabbing his right shoulder.

The contact looked to be between Paul and his Suns teammate Cam Johnson, who grazed the point guard as he was turning his back.

The Suns All-Star was escorted to the locker room and even got some well-wishes from his good buddy, Lakers star LeBron James.

But in true Chris Paul fashion, the Suns got the point guard back just a few moments later. The veteran had escaped any serious injury, as he was diagnosed with a right shoulder contusion. This was reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Phoenix can't afford to lose Paul for any stretch of this series, as they've been deemed underdogs despite owning the much higher seed and home-court advantage. Suns fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their point guard is healthy enough to reenter the game without even waiting for the halftime break.

The Lakers know better than to take the Suns for granted, especially with Chris Paul leading the way.
