In the Phoenix Suns' 117-115 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, star guard Devin Booker broke a franchise record set by Amar'e Stoudemire.

Booker tallied his 87th 30-point game in their second seeding game in the NBA restart. With that, he surpassed Amar'e for the second-most 30-point games in franchise history. He is also now three 30-point games away from tying Walter Davis — the Suns' all-time leader.

For comparison, Stoudemire spent eight seasons with the Suns while Davis spent 11. The 23-year-old Booker is just in his fifth year in the league.

devin Booker was scorching hot from the get-go, finishing 10-of-20 from the field, 1-of-4 from deep, and 9-of-10 from the free-throw line. He also had three rebounds, four assists and one steal.

This milestone is just one among the many records claimed and to be claimed by Booker in his young NBA career. Some of his scoring records include being the youngest player to score 60 points, as well as the youngest with consecutive 50-point games.

Devin's scoring prowess and playing style have earned him comparisons with the late Kobe Bryant. After all, the Suns star has showcased his mastery of the perimeter shot. It is something that has gone out of style in today's era, but Book has continually shown how effective it could be.

Without a doubt, Booker is one hell of an offensive talent. But some Suns fans are worried that the team is not doing enough to maximize him. Hopefully, this recent scoring record claimed by Booker wakes the Phoenix organization up.
