It was pandemonium in the desert after the Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6 on Wednesday night to clinch a spot in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. Suns star Devin Booker put out a call to Suns fans to come meet them at the airport when they returned, and he of course included a reference to his infamous “I'm thinking hooters tonight with the fellas” tweet while doing so:

Suns fans obliged, and it was mayhem at the airport as the team got back in. Booker and Chris Paul soaked up all the love like royalty:

This was similar to what happened after the Suns swept the Denver Nuggets and Deandre Ayton celebrated with the fans back in Phoenix. Suns fans have been waiting for a winner for so long, and they're taking advantage of all this success.

Booker and CP3 led the way for Phoenix in the 130-103 Game 6 win, with Paul delivering knockout blow after knockout blow in the second half. The Point God put up 41 points on 16-of-24 shooting overall and 7-of-8 from 3-point range, with 31 of those points coming in the second half. Book didn't shoot all that well, but he did have a solid all-around game with 22 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

The Suns will now await the winner of the series between the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks. With both of those teams currently dealing with significant injuries to their best players, Phoenix has to be considered the favorite to win it all.

These airport celebrations have been crazy, so just imagine what will happen if the Suns actually do win the title. I'm thinking an epic championship parade with the fellas.
