Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker had quite a performance on Tuesday, leading his team to a surprise victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, 117-115. The 23-year-old hit an amazing shot at the buzzer to win it for Phoenix, which prompted quite a celebration from the entire Suns squad.

After the game, Booker opened up about what led to the epic celebration that followed his equally tremendous game-winner:

“I’m not a big celebration guy,” Booker said, via The Athletic's Joe Vardon. “You’ve seen me in the past when I’ve hit a big shot. But they caught me on the ground. I couldn’t get away from them.”

Booker's team pretty much mobbed him while he was lying on the floor after hitting a tough fadeaway jumper. At one point, you couldn't even see Booker from inside the celebratory mob.

To be fair, the 6-foot-5 shooting guard's winner was nothing short of amazing. He did not only make a basket following a botched Suns play, but more importantly, he hit it over both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Those are two of the best perimeter defenders in the league, and they simply couldn't stop Booker on this particular play.

Booker was great all game long, scoring a game-high 35 points on 13-of-25 shooting, with six triples, four rebounds, eight assists, and just two turnovers in 37 minutes of play. Phoenix has now won three straight games since entering the bubble and has emerged as a dark horse to earn a spot in the playoffs out West .
