The Phoenix Suns are the best team in the NBA by a longshot, flying high with a 60-14 record. While this is a very complete group, the brilliance of Devin Booker is a huge reason they're a legitimate title contender right now.
But despite putting up 26.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and five assists per night, Book isn't getting any MVP consideration, which is frankly insane to Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant, who reacted strongly to the NBA's latest MVP ladder:
still no dbook? https://t.co/uLprZmgcOI

Ja has a valid point. The Suns guard plays on the top team in the league and is certainly their best player. I mean, the definition of Most Valuable Player is a guy who not only puts up godly numbers but helps his squad win ballgames. Booker is doing just that on a consistent basis.
To be honest, there is a sense of bias towards the Suns. They're barely talked about as a title contender on First Take, NBA Today, all of these shows. It's all about the Nets, Sixers, Warriors, and Lakers. Phoenix isn't a huge market therefore no one really takes them seriously. But it's clear, Booker and the Suns are no joke. They are the definition of a team and Book needs to at least receive some recognition for MVP.
As for Morant, he also deserves to be in that conversation for the red-hot Grizzlies, who are a serious threat in the West as well.
