Devin Booker takes fired-up shot at haters after Suns sweep Nuggets
The Phoenix Suns are off to the Western Conference Finals, but star guard Devin Booker is anything but done. For most of his career, Booker has been chided for not winning meaningful games. While his scoring exploits have been truly impressive, he wasn’t getting the respect he was due.
Then this season happened.
After the Suns made waves in the NBA Bubble last year, Booker made sure the momentum they built won’t go to waste. With Chris Paul joining him in the backcourt, the former Kentucky standout elevated his game to a more well-rounded one. It’s clear everything has paid off, as the Suns are now just a series away from an improbable NBA Finals run. And Booker is all hyped up during his postgame interview with NBA on TNT.
“I feel really good. I’ve been waiting for this for a really long time. A lot of people have been saying I haven’t played meaningful basketball and I’m not ready for that. It’s my time to prove it. The whole team’s having fun with it.”
If that doesn’t fire up Suns fans, nothing will.

While Booker has been largely instrumental in their sweep of the Denver Nuggets, he deflected much of the credit to Paul, as he continues to gush about the leadership of the savvy floor general.
“You can ask anybody on this team how has Chris developed your game and everybody’s going to have a lengthy answer because he cares.”
Devin Booker is a man on a mission.
