Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was busy trying to win the NBA 2K Finals tournament against his teammate DeAndre Ayton. While at it, the All-Star guard also managed to take a jab at his haters.

Booker used the Houston Rockets as his team for the Finals while Ayton tapped on the Los Angeles Lakers. In one of the plays, virtual James Harden drew a double-team and Booker managed to generate a wide-open corner triple for Eric Gordon. While trash-talking Ayton, his Suns teammate, for utilizing the double, Booker remembered his naysayers and trolled them for their criticism of the double-team issue he had this past summer.

Watch the sequence below:

To recall, during an open gym run, Booker saw double-teams while playing. He argued that they shouldn't be doing double teams in open gym as this is a time for them to work on their games. Joakim Noah, who went back and forth with Booker, claimed that this is part of the game. The Suns star drew a ton of flak from fellow players, fans, and analysts for complaining. However, he also did got support from some of his peers.

Nonetheless, it seems like the criticism still sticks with the 23-year old. He also seems to have used that as fuel for the 2019-20 season. Prior to the league's untimely suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Booker was putting up the best individual season of his career. He averaged 26.1 points while shooting an efficient 48.7 percent from the field and 36.0 percent from three. Unfortunately, the Suns still couldn't put together a winning season and are likely on their way to another lottery selection despite Booker's career year.

Nonetheless, Booker still finds consolation in this special player's only 2K Tournament. Booker defeated Ayton in the Finals and became the first ever NBA 2K Tournament champion to win $100,000 for his charity of choice.
