Devin Booker still didn't get the respect he deserves when it comes to the MVP voting. However, the Phoenix Suns star is not bothered by it. After all, he has a bigger goal than an individual honor.

On Sunday, the NBA announced its finalists for the six awards. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid headline the finalists for the Most Valuable Player recognition, and deservingly so.

However, a lot of people cannot understand why the best player on the league's best team did not make it to the Top 3. Booker has been criminally underrated, and the MVP voting highlights that even further. Had it been a different superstar player–say Stephen Curry–who leads his team to the best record in the NBA, he would have been an automatic contender for the highest individual award there is.

Despite the snub, though, Booker admitted that he is not thinking about it. His focus is on the playoffs, and he is not letting himself be distracted by the stuff that no longer matters.

“No, not really. Our main focus is playoff time,” Booker said when asked whether or not he has any thoughts not being on the MVP list, per Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports.

It would have been a fitting reward had Devin Booker made it to the Top 3 of the MVP voting and even win it. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't been hyped by the media and his narrative hasn't been given that much attention.

Booker averaged 26.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.8 assist per game in the regular season to lead the Suns to an NBA-best 64-18 record. They are the only 60-win team, while the franchises of the other MVP candidates didn't even make it to the Top 2 of their respective conferences.

Hopefully, Book gets the recognition he deserves sooner rather than later.
