The Phoenix Suns had a surprisingly rough outing in the 2022 NBA Playoffs. They fell to the Dallas Mavericks in seven games after starting the second-round series up 2-0. Since the Suns' premature postseason exit, the team, especially star guard Devin Booker, has gotten endless criticism.
Wednesday afternoon, Booker took to social media, tweeting, “all that hate why you ain't tired.”
Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the hate Devin Booker received following the Suns' playoff performance. It's very likely that he's referring to all of the “Luka owns you” comments he's received since mid-May.
Some even used Booker's latest tweet to get some more jokes in.
There's also a chance that Devin Booker is referring to the rumors surrounding Kevin Durant and the Suns. Durant requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, and Phoenix is one of his top trade destinations.
That being said, the Suns would have to give the Nets a lot in exchange for Durant. Fortunately for Booker, he is ineligible to be traded to the Nets while Ben Simmons is employed in Brooklyn. According to NBA rules, a team can only have two players with a designated rookie extension on its roster. However, they can't be two players who came to the team in a trade.
Booker also just agreed to a four-year, $214 million supermax contract extension with the Suns. Whether fans like it or not, he is sticking around in Phoenix for a little while longer.
Maybe the tweet isn't about basketball at all. Maybe it's about the latest on his relationship with Kendall Jenner.
