The Phoenix Suns have given a masterclass in team depth this season. Despite missing guys like Chris Paul and Devin Booker for extended periods of time, the team has found a way to keep it rolling. That next-man-up mentality is what sparked the team's run to the top of the NBA today.

In their playoff run now, the Suns will have to deal with one more injury, this time to Landry Shamet. The sweet-shooting guard reportedly suffered a left foot injury during their practice, and had to leave practice altogether. It's an unfortunate blow to this team, albeit one they're likely prepared to deal with. (via Kellan Olson)

Shamet was part of the Suns' 2021 roster that made it all the way to playoffs last season. The shooting guard has made a living out of his stroke from the outside, as he's a prolific catch-and-shoot threat. His absence will be missed by the team, obviously. However, if any team's best equipped to handle this sudden development, it's the Suns.

Aaron Holiday has stepped up well for the team as a bench player, providing good defense and the occasional three-ball. It's also likely that the Suns will shorten their rotation for the playoffs, which would mean more minutes for Mikal Bridges, Booker, and Paul. Still, it would be nice to have an extra body ready in case you need a sudden spark.

Phoenix will be playing whoever wins the Play-In matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans. Expectations are high for this Suns team. Any result less than a championship will be a disappointment for them.
