Trade season is fast approaching (if it isn't already here) and naturally, Eric Gordon has once again popped up as a player that could be on the move. This no longer comes as a surprise considering how the Houston Rockets veteran always seems to see his name dragged into trade rumors at every given opportunity. This time around, the Phoenix Suns have been identified as a potential landing spot for the 33-year-old.

ESPN's NBA insider Brian Windhorst reports that along with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Suns are another team that are keeping tabs on Gordon. Chris Paul played with Gordon for a few years in Houston and it now seems that a reunion could be forthcoming:

ā€œKeep an eye on the Houston Rockets,ā€ Windhorst said. ā€œThey've already done one deal this offseason. Look for a little bit of an Eric Gordon sweepstakes in play. A couple of teams that I've heard interested are the Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns. You have Chris Paul looking for a potential reunion with his former teammate there.ā€

Gordon still has two more years on his current deal, but the Rockets could be looking to cash in on him now. The fact that teams continue to have interest in Gordon speaks volumes of the value he brings to the table. He's no star, but his ability to stretch the floor for any team makes him a significant asset. Accoridng to Windy, Eric Gordon could be wearing a Suns uniform next season.
