Just when you thought Anthony Davis had the “dunk of the night” citation cornered with his poster lob over the Phoenix Suns' Aron Baynes, his teammate Kelly Oubre had payback in mind.
Kelly Oubre wasn't taking the dunk over their center sitting down as he quickly turned on the jets into the teeth of the defense and flushed down an emphatic slam over the Los Angeles Lakers' JaVale McGee.
Oubre then got in McGee's face for a moment and flexed for good measure.
The Suns remain down by almost 30 points, however, so this seems like a run of the mill accomplishment in the greater scheme of things. But if the team needed a morale booster to get them going for a huge run, a powerful dunk is one way of jumpstarting it.
