In true “Hoodie Melo” fashion, Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is introducing everyone to his offseason alter ego — “Beanie Kelly.”

Yes. You read that right.

During one of Chris Brickley's famed offseason runs that feature NBA players, Oubre can be seen rocking the headpiece, comfortably dunking and shooting his way against James Harden, Enes Kanter, and other athletes.

Oubre was in his element, beanie and all, that opponents couldn't even send the double-team so the world can see how he reacts to such (looking at you, Devin Booker).

Oubre is fresh off inking a two-year $15,000,00 contract with the Suns early in the offseason. In 40 games for Phoenix last year, after being traded by the Washington Wizards, the Kansas stalwart averaged 16.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and a block per contest. He also shot the ball at a career-best 45% from the field.

Gone are TJ Warren and Josh Jackson, ideally putting Oubre at the forefront of coach Monty Williams' options after Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton. Furthermore, Ricky Rubio's presence could open more opportunities for him to score.

To put things in perspective, Oubre's more explosive outings were bumped by Devin Booker missing games. But in the eyes of Suns general manager James Jones, he had seen enough to reward the two-way swingman with the biggest payday of his NBA career.
