T1 unveils new coaches, introducing Lee “Zefa” Jae-min and Yang “Daeny” Dae-in as their new regular and head coach, respectively. The organization also introduced Choi “Polt” Seong-hun as the team's new general manager.

Both Zefa and Daeny were formerly the coaches of the most recent Worlds champions, DAMWON Gaming. The two switched roles in their new positions in the team, as they held opposite roles back when they were with DAMWON. Meanwhile, Polt is a veteran player who has had extensive experience in esports both in South Korea and overseas.

Finally, three-time Worlds Champion Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong, a former teammate of the legendary Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, returns to the T1 organization. He will be serving as T1 Academy's head coach for the upcoming season. T1 Academy is the trainee roster of T1, meant to groom the next generation of superstars for the team.

Vicious Rumors

Last week, rumors surfaced that Polt and analyst Nick “LS” De Cesare to be T1's new coaches. This was after T1 parted ways with former coach Kim “Kim” Jeong-soo last September.

These rumors heavily disappointed fans, leading to protests. LS was seen as having a very different gaming style from the rest of T1. Meanwhile, Polt has had no prior experience in League of Legends, as he is a former Starcraft II pro gamer. It's unknown whether the fans' protests have affected the management's decisions.

However at that time, in spite of all these rumors, T1 never officially confirmed Polt's and LS's involvement.

While Polt's involvement with the team as the new general manager, it is unknown whether or not LS is really going to work with the team or not.

In other news, the team's former coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun joins DAMWON Gaming as their new head coach. KkOma is most notable for winning three championships with Faker and Bengi as T1's then-head coach.
