Team USA basketball coach Steve Kerr made a lineup change for the blowout win over Jordan, replacing Brandon Ingram  for Josh Hart. Steve Kerr said he would keep it for Team USA's second-round FIBA World Cup game against Montenegro on Friday. Brandon Ingram had a simple response to the change.

“I agreed with him,” Ingram said, via Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

Kerr believes that Ingram is a better fit with the second unit alongside Tyrese Haliburton and Austin Reaves than he is alongside Jalen Brunson and Anthony Edwards, who are ball dominant players. Ingram should hopefully have better opportunities with the second unit. Kerr was a fan of Ingram's play with the second unit.

“I really liked the lineup shift for BI,” Kerr said, via Vardon. “The game was much smoother. He had five assists. There was more space, he had the ball more. I know he enjoyed it. … I can't speak highly enough of BI, just his character and the way he handled that because he's not used to coming off the bench and he was playing fine. It wasn't, you know, he wasn't really struggling. He just wasn't featured in that lineup.”

The lineup change makes sense for Josh Hart as well, who is teammates with Jalen Brunson on the New York Knicks, and has history going back to their days at Villanova together. He also is known for doing the little things, which pairs well alongside Brunson and Anthony Edwards.

Hopefully for Team USA, the new lineups lead to success in the FIBA World Cup.
