San Antonio Spurs and Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich was not in a very jovial mood on Friday, as he decided to give an Australian reporter the cold shoulder treatment.

Coach Pop remained in the arena following Team USA's victory against the Australian national side, and was seen chatting it up with some other folks in attendance. The reporter thought it was a good opportunity for him to approach the legendary coach to have a brief conversation with him. Unfortunately for the reporter, things did not end well for him.

In true Gregg Popovich fashion, the 70-year-old decided to just briskly walk away without uttering a single word as he saw the reporter approaching. To be fair, the reporter did have an idea of the risk he was getting himself into, and did not seem all that surprised to have been completely ignored by the American coach. As a matter of fact, the reporter even bounced back pretty well with a bit of a shot at Pop following the exchange — or lack thereof.

The video of this hilarious moment can be seen here, thanks to our friends from Wide World of Sports in Australia.

As it turns out, Popovich's antics extends far beyond the confines of the NBA. The five-time champion coach has been known to be very standoffish and sarcastic during interviews, and this is something everyone seems to have gotten used to. In fact, it has become a bit endearing at this point, and it comes as an absolute shock whenever Pop responds with more than just a few words.
