Tennessee Volunteers defensive lineman Darrell Taylor has been suspended by head coach Butch Jones. This is after a fight broke out during the team's practice last Thursday.

The report was first broke by VolQuest.

Darrell Taylor and freshman offensive lineman Trey Smith got into a scuffle at practice last Thursday. That's the start of this entire debacle, but its climax was far worse than just two guys getting at it with a little extra sauce during some practice.

The issue here ended with Taylor kicking Smith in the face. We don't know if it was a curb-stomp type of a kick or like a field goal kicker attempting a point-after attempt, but a kick is a kick.

The blow required Smith to receive stitches, as Darrell Taylor can apparently kick well.

After being ejected for fighting in the second half against Georgia on Sept. 30,Taylor was already suspended for the first half of Saturday's game against South Carolina. So, there was already some issues beggeting themselves up until this point.

According to VolQuest, Jones has extended the suspension indefinitely following is actions Thursday morning on the practice field.

Smith, the man on the wrong side of the fight, is not expected to miss any gametime.

Last week, tight end Ethan Wolf said there were no locker room issues.

“We have been in this position before and it's not a fun position to be in, but we have never had any type of conflict in the locker room in the past and we don't now. Everyone is on the same page,” Wolf said.

How come the winner of the fight gets punished?
