The Houston Texans have been one of the league's hottest teams over the last couple of months and have become the only team in league history to put together an eight-game winning streak after dropping the first three games of a season.

This has seemingly put them in the driver seat to earn the AFC South division title over the final stretch of the regular season and possibly do much more than that. With that in mind, quarterback Deshaun Watson has voiced his belief that the Texans have the ability to dictate how much success they can have this year, according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle.

The Texans have seemingly become one of the league's best teams behind their balanced play on both sides of the ball and have put themselves in this promising position. Watson has had his struggles working his way back into form after tearing his ACL last season, but he has shown continued improvement.

He has remained a huge factor with his legs while being more precise with his throws over the last few weeks as he has thrown 11 touchdowns to two interceptions in the last five games played.

Houston has also worked their way into being one of the top defenses in the league, ranking eighth overall while being 11th against the pass and seventh against the run along with ranking fifth with 20.2 points allowed. In fact, their defense has been a huge reason for their success, as they have allowed more than 23 points just once over their eight-game winning streak.

The Texans may be well on their way to securing the AFC South division title, but there could be some major challenges ahead against the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Chargers that may pose significant challenges in the playoffs.

Aside from that, the Texans have put themselves in position to make some noise come playoff time.
