The Houston Texans have been dealt a major blow with the injury to starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who left Sunday's game early after suffering a hamstring injury. Well, Taylor's timeline is an unfortunate one, and he could be out for a while, according to Ari Meirov.

Davis Mills stepped in to replace Taylor and was wildly underwhelming, which is no surprise given the fact that he was expected to sit for most of the season. Mills finished the game 8-18 for 102 yards with one score and one interception, and Mills is now set for a quick turnaround with a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Carolina Panthers.

This is just the latest in an absolutely brutal string of injuries for Taylor, who can't seem to catch a break.

This is brutal for Taylor, who had been playing well in his first game and a half for the Texans. They beat Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, and they were playing well and holding their own against Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns.

Hopefully Mills can get some crucial reps in and gain some more confidence before Thursday night, and one has to wonder if the Texans consider playing Deshaun Watson. If not, perhaps a free-agent move is on the way.
