It is no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers have fallen on tumultuous times in recent years. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt feels it has even reach Kardashian-like levels.

Watt has a direct connection to the Steelers with his brother T.J. Watt being a star linebacker for them. He said during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers that there are plenty of elements that are similar to a reality show:

“It does seem very dramatic. It’s like somebody that’s watching the Kardashians, and I can call one of the Kardashians. I’ll call my brother, I see everything on TV, and I’ll be like, ‘OK, give me the real story.’ And it’s pretty wild. It’s pretty wild,” Watt said.

There is certainly plenty of truth to Watt's comments. The Steelers have always managed to capture headlines due to the internal dysfunction within their historic franchise. Watt is in a unique position where he can get all the intimate details from his brother, so it is safe to say that there is more than what is being reported.

Of course, their troubles began with the failed negotiations with running back Le'Veon Bell. Now their inner turmoil has led to the looming departure of wide receiver Antonio Brown. To make matters worse, Pittsburgh, fell vastly short of expectations after missing the playoffs this season.

Unlike the Kardashians, the Steelers' struggles are magnified by the fact that they have one of the most talented rosters in the league. Unfortunately, it is clear that the coaching staff and front office have failed miserably when it comes to player relations.
