The Houston Texans went through with a major trade prior to the trade deadline last week with the acquisition of Denver Broncos former Pro Bowl wider receiver Demaryius Thomas. This is a move that adds another proven asset to the passing game that the Texans are hopeful can help continue their upward trend. It is a transaction that Hall of Fame wideout Terrell Owens believes will help bring more “life to the locker room” while bringing aboard a premier talent at the position, according to TMZ Sports.

“That's a big blockbuster trade right there,” Owens tells says.

So, why is he so fired up about the deal for Houston??

“What that does is it really rejuvenates, it brings life to that locker room.”

“It brings some excitement, obviously, to the city of Houston, and I'm sure Deshaun Watsonis obviously excited to have someone of that caliber.”

Demaryius Thomas has proven throughout his career that he can be a huge factor in the passing game that saw him establish himself as one of the top wide receivers in the league. This saw him earn five Pro Bowl selections where he toppled 1,000 receiving yards and 90 receptions in each campaign. He has continued to produce with 39 catches for 463 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season, and hopes to do more for the Texans.

The 30-year-old had shown what he could bring to the table in his first action in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Broncos by hauling in all three targets for 61 receiving yards, which included a 31-yard reception. Demaryius Thomas has proven throughout his career that he can be a game-changing factor behind his stable production and big-play ability.

If he's able to carry over that level of play with the Texans, it could help form a dynamic duo in the passing game alongside Pro Bowler DeAndre Hopkins. There is plenty of potential for this move to work out great in Houston's favor to help their push to the playoffs and possibly much further than that. In the following weeks, Thomas can prove Terrell Owens right or wrong.
