On Wednesday, the Texas Longhorns received some exciting news when they learned that five-star offensive tackle Devon Campbell has committed to the program. Devon Campbell chose the University of Texas over the University of Oklahoma. Campbell is the Longhorns' third offensive line recruit from the top-100 players in the country.

Texas did not enjoy the season they had hoped for last year, finishing 5-7. Fortunately for the Longhorns, they were able to recruit a top-five class, which should help them get back to where they were and where Texas wants to be.

It will be fascinating to watch how they do in the Big 12 next season. The Big 12 is consistently one of the best football conferences in the country, and it will be difficult for them to win many games if they continue to perform as they did a year ago.

Steve Sarkisian didn't have a fantastic first season as head coach, but he's done a tremendous job bringing in recruits that will make an instant impact for the Longhorns.

According to 247Sports, Devon Campbell is the ninth-best player in the country. He'll be the top recruit in Texas when he arrives. Texas will also have Kelvin Banks, the number 32 player in the country, Neto Umeozulu, and a number of other four-star prospects that are sure to make an impact for this team.

With all of the players, they are bringing in, they should be able to find some success next season.
