Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James is on the verge of reaching 30,000 career points, and Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has thoughts.

Speaking to the media on Friday, Westbrook reacted to James being just 25 points from reaching one of the most prestigious scoring feats in NBA history, per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman.

“That's crazy, man,” Westbrook said. “That's a lot of damn points, I can tell you that… It's a blessing to be able to play this game for a very long time and obviously score that many points. It's a great accomplishment.”

James scored 16 points against the Magic on Thursday which put him at 29,975 career points. He will have the opportunity to hit 30,000 on Saturday at home against the Thunder.

James is in his 15th season in the NBA. For some reason, he's shown no signs of slowing down and has had no major injuries in his career. Those factors have allowed him to score in the way that he has, putting him in good position for the 30,000.

What makes Westrbook's comments on James significant is he is a scorer in his own right. More so, Westbrook made NBA history himself last season when he became the second player to avenge a triple-double. So Westbrook is no stranger to putting up big numbers.

James will likely get 25 against the Thunder. Oklahoma City is a good team and will fight the Cavaliers hard, meaning James will have to play more minutes. It stands to reason James could reach that mark sometime later in the game, possibly late in the third quarter or early in the fourth.
