The Oklahoma City Thunder are looking to shed some salary, and the Thunder are making Steven Adams, Andre Roberson and Dennis Schroder all available along with the 21st pick in the draft in an attempt to do so, according to Jake Fischer of Sports Illustrated.

The Thunder already have nearly $140 million guaranteed for the 2019-20 season, which is well over the cap and into the luxury tax.

Obviously, the biggest name on that list is Adams, who is coming off a 2018-19 campaign in which he played 80 games and averaged 13.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and one block over 33.4 minutes per game while shooting 59.5 percent from the floor and 50.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Adams, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Pittsburgh, was originally selected by the Thunder in the first round (12th pick overall) of the 2013 NBA Draft.

He appeared in 81 contests during his rookie season, registering 3.3 points and 4.1 boards across 14.8 minutes a night while making 50.3 percent of his field goal attempts and 58.1 percent of his foul shots. Then, the following year, Adams participated in 70 games and became a full-time starter, recording 7.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.2 blocks through 25.3 minutes per game, connecting on 54.4 percent of his shots and 50.2 percent of his free throws.

Adams did not really break out until the 2017-18 campaign, when he played in 76 games and posted 13.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and a block over 32.7 minutes per game while shooting 62.9 percent from the field and 55.9 percent from the charity stripe.

While Adams is a terrific rebounder, defender and locker room presence, his inability to spread the floor has always been a problem for Oklahoma City's offense, and while he does have value to a contender, you have to wonder how much the Thunder can get in return. He's set to make $25.8 million next season and $27.5 million in 2020-21.

Roberson is a terrific wing defender when healthy and is set to be on an expiring deal worth $10.7 million, but he missed the entire 2018-19 season due to injuries. Schroder is owed $15.5 million both next season and 2020-21.
