The Minnesota Timberwolves have not had the breakout season they were expecting to have with a slightly more experienced roster at hand and the addition of head coach and team president Tom Thibodeau.

Surprisingly enough, the Timberwolves have more than the seventh-worst record to brag about, they actually lead the league in one category — kicked balls.

According to an NBATV graphic, the young squad leads the league with the most kicked ball violations by a wide margin. Power forward Gorgui Dieng is a vast reason why they can claim such feat, committing 27 violations of his own.

Dieng's 6-foot-11 lanky frame and his long extremities make his a prime target of kicked balls on defense, but they come with a purpose. The Senegalese forward gets 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, making him a well-rounded and active asset on the defensive end.

Thibodeau being a defensive coach, generally won't mind a few violations here and there as long as Dieng gives his man hell when defending him.
