Stephen Jackson took no prisoners after seeing a since-deleted tweet by Andrew Wiggins' brother Nick, which read a prompt “Hallelujah” after All-Star forward Jimmy Butler had requested a trade. Andrew had liked his brother's post, which set of the fumes for Jackson, a former 14-year veteran of the league.

Andrew Wiggins took to Instagram to bark back at Jackson, but it surely wouldn't end there.

Jackson posted a follow-up video on his Instagram account, reverberating the same spiel as his first video, but with some positivity at the end.

“I hope you have a good year,” Stephen Jackson said. “I hope somewhere you can find some heart and find some passion for the game and have a good year. I really wish you the best.”

“Old? I'm 40. Thank God, I'm happy to see 40. Bum? I ain't never been that. You know that. I'm from the old school, bruh. I'm cut under the old law. Respect it or check it. … Say man, make sure your energy is straight when you see me, bruh. I'm pretty sure you know who I am.”

Nick Wiggins would then re-emerge for the double-team on Jackson's Instagram comments.

Jackson proceeded to post his stats through Basketball-Reference, captioning it: “Kold ass bum with a chip” — referencing Nick's claim of being a 6.5 points per game average player.

This isn't Jackson's first beef rodeo, as the former NBA journeyman has checked plenty of NBA faces since his retirement, making Andrew and Nick Wiggins only two more for the count.

Butler, who gave a shortlist of teams (New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, L.A. Clippers) before concluding his meeting with Timberwolves brass, appeared to make fun of Nick earlier in the day when he said, “Hallelujah… keep that same energy” during one of his famed workout videos on Instagram.

The Timberwolves are slated to hold their Media Day on Monday, but until then — the fireworks don't seem to stop as Tom Thibodeau's one-year gamble has fallen flat in its face.

All of this, over Jimmy Butler.
