The Minnesota Timberwolves have their season in the balance, facing the Denver Nuggets in the season finale for a chance to punch their ticket to the playoffs. One game, winner is guaranteed at least four more games in the postseason, loser goes home.

Yet Jimmy Butler isn't approaching this any differently than he would any other regular season game.

“It’s no different than any other game,” said Butler, according to ESPN's Nick Friedell.

The All-Star forward is coming off a torn meniscus injury and has responded with 33 points in 46 minutes of play. His health will play a major part in tonight's game, with his minutes limitation likely being a forgotten bit with the Wolves' season on the line.

“I'm fine,” said Butler, per Timberwolves' radio voice Alan Horton. “I don't care if I don't have rhythm, I don't care if I don't hit shots, I'll find a way to impact the game.” All in all, I just want to help this team win, whether it's making shots, passing the ball, if I'm guarding… I'll be there to change the game.”

These are encouraging words coming from Butler, who seems well-poised to take on this pivotal matchup and lead his team to a playoff stint.

The Timberwolves recently lost to Denver 100-96 last week, despite having won their previous two matchups against them, holding a 2-1 lead in the season series.
