Jimmy Butler has a lot of reasons to celebrate these days. The Minnesota Timberwolves have so far lived up to expectations this season, as they own a 31-18 record, good for third place in the Western Conference. He has also been recently named as an All-Star reserve, making it to the annual showcase for the fifth time in his stellar NBA career.

The Timberwolves star wanted to thank his teammates and coaches for helping him being selected as an All-Star again and posted a team photo on his Instagram account. However, he also took it as chance to roast two of his teammates, Tyus Jones and Taj Gibson, as he jokingly placed in the caption that they did not help him and are the exceptions. The two saw what he did, and quickly made strong comebacks of their own.

Butler is once again having a solid campaign and is averaging 21.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 36.9 minutes per game. He has also remained healthy and proving that the Wolves made the right decision to trade for him during the offseason, as he fits the bill of the veteran leader they have long been looking for.

Their hilarious exchange they had also goes to show how good his relationships are with his teammates. Butler and Gibson have long been teammates, going back to their days with the Chicago Bulls. He and Jones though, on the other hand, have formed a strong bond despite in the few months that they have been on the same team.

This chemistry is something that could lead to better performances on the court, and being the veteran that he is, Butler understands that it could result in more success for them as well.
