The Minnesota Timberwolves are now 2-0 in the post-Jimmy Butler era with a 107-100 win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. It has been the perfect start to a new chapter for the team as they try and move past all the drama that unfolded over the past couple of months, and Karl-Anthony Towns seems especially rejuvenated.

Moments before Wednesday night's tip-off, Towns explained how he thought the Wolves ought to approach their current situation. In his mind, making sure that everybody on board enjoys the journey will play a key role in the team's success.

“All those teams I was on that were successful were the ones that everyone had love for each other and had fun,” Karl-Anthony Towns told Malika Andrews of ESPN. “Things that seem minuscule — joking around, laughing, conversing, all those things that seem childish — that is what builds camaraderie.”

Towns presents an excellent point here. He puts a lot of emphasis on teamwork and how everybody on the team gets along with each other. The 23-year-old believes that one of the best ways to establish chemistry is by having a jovial atmosphere within the team.

This was obviously no longer the case for the Wolves over the past months when Butler started pushing his weight around the organization. The new Philadelphia 76er put an irreparable dent on the team's solidarity, and while nobody on the Wolves might care to admit it, there was a collective sigh of relief when Butler finally packed his bags.

If Wednesday night's performance was any indication of life after Butler, things are definitely looking bright for the Wolves moving forward. That's especially the case for Karl-Anthony Towns, who has played some great basketball over the last week.
