Despite the fact that the Minnesota Timberwolves were blown out by the Washington Wizards on Friday night, 137-116, Wolves superstar Karl-Anthony Towns was still able to remain upbeat. For the 24-year-old, it was important that the the team put the ugly loss behind them as soon as possible, and focus on the next game at hand.

Towns was actually on fire against the Wizards, logging 36 points on a highly efficient 13-of-18 from the field and 6-of-8 from the stripe. The 6-foot-11 big man also logged, four 3-pointers, 10 boards, three assists, and a block, but uncharacteristically turned the ball over seven times in 33 minutes of action.
Towns' heroics was no match for Washington's Bradley Beal, who absolutely torched Minnesota for 44 points (15-of-22 shooting, 13-of-14 free-throws), one 3-pointer, three rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, and a block, as the two-time All-Star led his team to just their third victory in 10 games this season.
As for Towns and the Timberwolves, Friday night's demolition job care of the Wizards represents Minnesota's fifth loss of the new campaign, as the team now stand at 7-5. The Wolves are currently on a back-to-back set, and are slated to face off against the Houston Rockets on Saturday.
At 9-3, James Harden and company have been on a rampage to start the new season, but so long as the Wolves are able to imbibe Towns' no-back-to-back-losses mindset, then surely, they should have every fighting chance against one of the best teams in the NBA right now.
