The Minnesota Timberwolves' season has come to a close. The team experienced a lot of success, but at the biggest stage, their inexperience was put on full display. Players like Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels balled out in their debut post-season run, and have given fans a lot of hope for next season.

Well, Patrick Beverley may have given Timberwolves fans something to be more excited by. The feisty point guard said in his exit interview that he plans to have Jaden McDaniels join him and Clippers star Kawhi Leonard in their workouts. That's going to be one hell of a learning experience for the young McDaniels. (via Jon Krawczynski)

McDaniels came into his own in the Timberwolves' playoff bout against the Grizzlies. While he didn't score as much as the other stars on the team, McDaniels gave them a huge spark coming off the bench. The forward will likely factor in the team's long-term outlook moving forward.

It will be interesting to see how this Timberwolves team improves moving forward. There are plenty of young teams that make it to the playoffs one year, only to flub it in the following years. They have a promising core with Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, and a bunch of interesting young guys along the way. You could argue that they're one veteran presence away from being a legitimate presence in the playoffs.

For now, though, the Timberwolves can earn themselves a much-deserved rest. Despite their playoff struggles, they managed to get this far into the season. It's simply a matter of building from your mistakes.
