After the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday to secure their play-in spot, Patrick Beverley went viral for a variety of reasons. His postgame presser was even better, though, as he heaped praised on Anthony Edwards while showing his self-confidence.

Edwards exploded for 30 points against the Clippers, going 10-of-21 from the field including 5-of-6 from deep. LA struggled containing the second-year guard with his inside and outside game, and that inability to slow down Ant Man eventually doomed them after a promising start.

Following the contest, Beverley called Edwards an unstoppable player. To give fans a better perspective of how difficult it is to stop the youngster, Pat Bev went as far as to saying that even he–one of the best defenders in the world, as he proclaimed–couldn't hold a candle against the 20-year-old.

“No one can guard him. I’m one of the best defensive guys on Earth… No one can guard him,” Beverley said, per Hoops Hype.

For what it's worth, Patrick Beverley isn't lying when he said Anthony Edwards is difficult to guard. He is one of the most athletic guys in the NBA, and he is using all his gifts to his advantage to destroy the defenses thrown at him. That's also a big reason why he's the no. 1 pick of the 2020 NBA draft.

Timberwolves fans will also be happy with the confidence Beverley and Edwards are showing. They will need that and more as they gear up to play the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
