Robert Covington shows support for Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns’ parents

Robert Covington isn’t on the Minnesota Timberwolves anymore, but he’s always going to have Karl-Anthony Towns’ back.

Covington showed support for Towns and KAT’s parents as Towns’ mom deals with the coronavirus. She’s in a coma at the moment:

The Timberwolves traded Covington to the Houston Rockets after acquiring him last season from the Philadelphia 76ers in the Jimmy Butler trade.

This is bigger than basketball right now. The entire NBA population is praying for Towns and his mother.

The NBA suspended the season after Utah Jazz star big man Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. The Timberwolves don’t have anyone on the team which has it.

Towns appeared in 35 games for the Timberwolves prior to play being suspended. He was averaging 26.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists.

For the Timberwolves and Rockets, meanwhile, Covington was putting up 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
