New Minnesota Timberwolves president Tim Connelly has some high praises for Karl-Anthony Towns, so much so that his take might even disappoint two-time MVP and Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic.

During his presser on Tuesday, Connelly highlighted the common declaration that Towns often say: that he is the greatest shooting big man in the NBA. The new Timberwolves boss also lauded the work ethic of the All-Star center, which he described as “relentless.”

“Relentless work ethic. … Probably the best shooting big in the NBA,” Connelly said of Towns, per Mike Singer of Denver Post.

Now, Karl-Anthony Towns can certainly make a case for the title as the best shooting big in the NBA, but we can't help but think what would be Nikola Jokic's reaction when he reads Connelly's remarks (that is if he hasn't seen it yet).

Not that Jokic is in the conversation for the GOAT shooting big man as well, but there is bound to be comparisons between the two given the Connelly link. The Timberwolves president played a role in drafting the Serbian to Denver, and now that he's handling a new superstar big man, there will always be talks about them.

But hey, at least Connelly is confident about the franchise player that he has. By the looks of it, he does seem excited to build a championship-caliber roster like he did in Denver with the Nuggets.
