If you thought the Minnesota Timberwolves were done with a draft night trade for All-Star forward Jimmy Butler, you're sorely mistaken.

The Twin Cities are going all-in on free agents in an effort to make this roster a contender as most intend to beef up during this offseason. President and head coach Tom Thibodeau reportedly has the likes of Kyle Lowry, Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, and George Hill in his crosshairs, as they will all become free agents starting July, according to Mitch Lawrence of the Sporting News.

With the departure of the one they deemed their point guard of the future in Kris Dunn and the imminent interest in floor general Ricky Rubio, the Wolves will look to be aggressive this offseason and pair a quality starting point man along with Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Butler.

Ironically enough, Minnesota would be better served with a set-up point guard now that they boast two ball-dominant wings in Wiggins and Butler, plus a young center in KAT that handles like a dream in the open court.

Though in a league where three stars just isn't enough anymore, adding a fourth scoring option within the starting lineup would only allow this team to climb the ladder that much faster, assuming they can jell well together.

In true Thibs-fashion, all of these point guards averaged a steal or more last year, as he will ensure the defense starts with the backcourt.
