The Tennessee Titans have placed defensive lineman Cameron Wake on the injured reserve list, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Wake left the Titans' win over the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday due to an undisclosed injury, one that will end his season.

In the nine games that Wake played this year, he logged four tackles and 2.5 sacks, with just about all of his production coming in a Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns in which he sacked Baker Mayfield 2.5 times.

The Titans signed Wake to a three-year deal back in March, but the veteran has obviously not lived up to expectations in his first season with the club.

Wake, who played his collegiate football at Penn State, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Miami Dolphins in 2009. He proceeded to play in 14 games during his rookie campaign, registering 23 tackles and 5.5 sacks.

The following year, Wake broke out, racking up 57 tackles, 14 sacks and three forced fumbles en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

From that point on, Wake went on to develop into one of the most productive defensive linemen in football, as he made five Pro Bowl appearances while also earning a First-Team All-Pro selection during his 10-year tenure with the Dolphins.

The 37-year-old tallied double-digit sack totals five times in Miami, most recently doing so in 2017 when he finished with 10.5 sacks.

Tennessee has won four of its last five games to improve to 6-5 and vault itself into playoff contention in the AFC.

The Titans will take on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
