The Tennessee Titans have released veteran cornerback Johnathan Joseph, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The Titans, who have lost two games in a row, will face the Chicago Bears at home in Week 9.

Johnathan Joseph has one interception on the season in seven games. The 36-year-old will be free to sign with any team of his choice now.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Joseph has played for the Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans and Titans. He has 32 career interceptions and seven touchdowns.

The Titans began the season at 5-0. However, they have lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bengals in back-to-back weeks. The Bengals loss was a bad one for Tennessee since Cincinnati is starting a rookie quarterback in Joe Burrow and only had one win on the season coming into the game.

The Bears, who are 5-3 on the season, have lost two games in a row as well. With that being said, the Titans are expected to come out aggressive on both sides of the ball versus Chicago.

The Bears are really struggling on offense right now with Nick Foles at quarterback and their offensive line is arguably the worst in the NFL.

Considering the situation, Titans star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney could have a huge game versus the Bears at home. Tennessee fans, while they are upset about the Bengals loss, are certainly looking forward to Week 9.
