The Tennessee Titans wasted absolutely no time in solidifying the team's starting quarterback situation earlier this offseason. Despite the Titans re-signing former Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill and allowing former starting quarterback Marcus Mariota to become an unrestricted free agent en route to him signing with the Las Vegas Raiders, though, Tennessee must still address its depth under center.

Because Tannehill has now slid into the starting spot on a full time basis and Mariota has since moved on from Tennessee, it remains to be seen as to who exactly will serve as the primary backup signal caller in Tennessee in 2020-21. As it stands today, it would be Logan Wooside, who served as the team's third-string quarterback last season.

Although Woodside will be given the chance to compete for a spot on the Titans' 53-man roster before all is said and done, Jim Wyatt of the team's official website all but guarantees that the surging AFC South franchise will bring in another signal caller at some point this offseason.

“I expect Logan to have a chance to win the back-up job, but the team will definitely add another QB,” Wyatt writes, via the team's official website. “Whether that guy is a veteran or a draft pick, well, I’m curious to see myself.”

Of course, Tennesee knows all too well how important it is to have a solid backup in place as the team has played meaningful football with more than one signal caller leading the way in each of the last three or so seasons.
