The Tennessee Titans turned to Derrick Henry to be their workhorse running back in 2018. In 2019, Henry is ready to improve his game and become even better for the Titans.
After the Titans first training camp practice on Friday, the Titans running back spoke to the media. While speaking to the media, Henry explained his mindset entering the 2019 season.

As Henry said, he isn't looking back to last year, he's looking forward to how he can be better in 2019. After all, Henry didn't look back when he ran it 99-yards to the end zone against the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018.
In 2018, Henry had his best season with Tennessee as he became a key contributor in the offense. Henry rushed for 1,059 yards on 215 carries and 12 touchdowns.
Coming into the NFL, not many people saw Henry as a running back who could translate his game to the NFL. At first, it looked like those people were right, with the former Alabama running back totaling just 1,234 yards in his first two seasons combined.
Last year though, Henry showed he is capable of being a key piece to an offense in today's NFL. With Henry leading the way, the Titans had the seventh-best ranked rushing offense in the NFL in 2018.
Although, Henry shared some of the touches with Dion Lewis. This season, expect to see more of Henry as the main recipient of the Tennessee rushing attack.
Besides, running the ball is going to help take some of the pressure off of Marcus Mariota's shoulders in a deciding season for the quarterback. More touches and a more motivated Henry could mean great things for Mike Vrabel and the Titans in 2019.
