The ongoing NFL offseason has been quite chaotic so far, which has included the likes of Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill finding new homes. As of late, there continues to be much outside chatter that Tennessee Titans wideout A.J. Brown could end up being the next receiver on the move.
Brown is set to play the upcoming 2022 season on the final year of his rookie deal. Unless Brown and Titans team officials come to terms on a contract extension deal, the versatile receiver will hit free agency next year.
From Brown’s standpoint, he may be tired of hearing all the talk regarding his future with the Titans. Brown took to Twitter on Sunday with a seven-word tweet that one sure could jump to conclusions with and note that he may be referring to the recent trade speculations.
Tired of all this just like y’all

There have been no firm reports or rumors noting that Brown wants out of Tennessee or that the team is considering parting ways with him ahead of the season. Still, from quarterback Jalen Hurts hinting at being interested in seeing Brown join the Philadelphia Eagles to the wideout being linked with the New York Jets, the rumor mill simply continues to churn on this matter.
From the Titans’ perspective, they are much open to seeing Brown stay put. Titans general manager Jon Robinson noted over the NFL owners meeting that he aspires to see Brown remain with the team past the 2022 season.
“A.J. is a Titan and we want to keep A.J. a Titan,” Robinson said. “And that's part of our goal this offseason, or whenever that manifests itself, to come to an agreement to keep him around.
“We get calls about players all the time – that's what GMs do. I haven't received any of those calls (about A.J.), and if they do call, our intention is A.J., we are going to keep him in Nashville.”
Brown featured in 13 regular season games last year, where he recorded 869 receiving yards and also posted a career-low 13.5 yards per touch average. He is slated to once again be quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s No. 1 wideout option for the 2022 upcoming campaign.
