Embarrassing is an understatement after Tottenham drop a game against Slovenian club, NS Mura. Antonio Conte admits his side's level is not so high at the moment.

After the appointment of a decorated manager in Antonio Conte, the Tottenham Hotspur community was hoping for a massive change in results. However, results have somewhat been lackluster, and it seems as if the new Spurs manager hasn't been able to find the key to fully unlock his side's potential.

“After three weeks I am starting to understand the situation,” Conte said after overseeing his third game in charge. “It is not simple. At this moment the level at Tottenham is not so high.”

Conte stresses, “I am happy to stay here but we have to work a lot to improve the quality of the squad. There is an important gap with the top teams but I am not scared.”

It is worth noting that Conte hasn't done too poorly over his first four games as Tottenham manager—recording 2 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. Spurs fans will be hoping that this reality check—coming in the form of a loss against a side which they should have easily won over—should propel their team to greater heights in the coming weeks.
