Tottenham star Harry Kane was heavily linked with a move away from North London during the summer as Manchester City chased his signature. Spurs however were reluctant to sell their talisman, slapping a hefty €150 price tag on the Englishman. While Kane did initially show an interest in moving on, he decided to stay put.

The striker recently spoke about that whole saga and what it was like to get interest from another big club for the first time. Via Fabrizio Romano:

Kane has always been happy at Tottenham therefore other European giants never came calling. But once he showed displeasure in his situation with Spurs, Man City was ready to splash the cash. Instead, they added only Jack Grealish to their ranks, who hasn't exactly enjoyed a great start to life at the Etihad.

As for Kane, he's really struggled to find his previous brilliance since that summer saga. The 28-year-old led the Premier League in goals and assists last term, but so far in 2021/22, the England international has scored just once in 10 league appearances. Tottenham currently sits in ninth spot in the table as well and that certainly has to do with Kane's lack of involvement in the final third.

However, Spurs recently hired Antonio Conte to come in and turn the ship around. We saw what he was able to do with Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan, shaping him into one of the best all-around strikers in world football. Hopefully, the Italian can also help Kane find his form again.
