Triangle Strategy has one of the most expansive rosters in recent JRPG and turn-based tactics games, and here's a guide on recruiting all of them.

Recruitment of new characters in Triangle Strategy might be confusing for some. There are characters that join Serenoa's party automatically, while there are others who you need to persuade with Serenoa's convictions. However, the game doesn't explicitly tell you when you convince a character to join your party through conviction, and when is it joining automatically. Hence, some players might not be able to make the distinction. To make things worse, almost all characters in Triangle Strategy are fleshed out and treated with respect that players could mistake any character to be recruitable if they didn't know any better.

So, to start our guide, we'll be listing down all of the characters that can be part of Serenoa's party at any point in the game. After that, we'll tell you how to unlock every specific character, and give you some tips on how to make things easier for you when recruiting new allies.

Tips on Recruiting Characters

Right off the bat, you won't be able to recruit all of the characters on your first run. The best way to experience Triangle Strategy, in our opinion, is to always play the first playthrough blind, then min-max any subsequent playthroughs. So, don't worry if your first run didn't result in getting all characters. Save that for the New Game + save.

Speaking of New Game +, recruiting new characters becomes easier once you've completed the game at least once. This is because, in your first playthrough, it's impossible for you to know the exact values of your Convictions, making it hard for you to gauge whether or not you have enough points in Morality, Utility, or Liberty to unlock certain characters. But in New Game +, your Conviction Points become visible, letting you know at any time where your values stand. Finally, all of your characters from the previous playthrough get carried over to your New Game + save file, regardless of the routes you take this time you will no longer lose any more characters in your party. That way, you'd actually be able to unlock all of the characters if you complete Triangle Strategy multiple times.
